Workshops
I offer workshops both online & in person. I recommend a minimum of 2-hour slots, but we can discuss the appropriate format and time frame individually. I work with everyone from secondary school students to adults. I can draw from my vast experience in teaching in my role as a creative writing tutor and English teacher in various settings, such as Martin Keaveney Creative Writing, SavvyAuthors, and secondary schools. I've also helped many writers make their work shine in writing groups and workshops. Feedback will always be sensitive and constructive, and when peer feedback is involved, we will agree on guidelines that ensure everyone is comfortable.

Testimonials for my writing courses with Martin Keaveney Creative Writing & SavvyAuthors:
'I thoroughly enjoyed the Creative Writing Course. Christina shared her knowledge and experience generously, created a supportive environment and encouraged us on our writing journey. She is a wonderful tutor.' — Susan T.
'Having signed up for a creative writing class to try and ignite a forgotten interest, I wasn't sure what to expect. I felt nervous that my inexperience would hinder my confidence within the assignments, but that wasn't the case. Christina created a safe environment in our classes that was comfortable and yet very informative. She clearly has a passion for what she does, and I can honestly say that the individual feedback she provided was both positive and constructive, which helped me to be more confident in my writing as the weeks continued.' — Chloe
'Having completed the recent Writers Course in Athlone, I found it very enlightening and encouraging under the tutelage of Christina. She is a wealth of knowledge and her professionalism shines through in each class. All questions were answered in a friendly and professional manner.' — Terry C.
‘I took the introductory creative writing course with Christina, she was a fabulous teacher and I feel like she gave me a great start as a total beginner in creative writing. Her own love of writing was obvious, and apart from learning, each week in class was a very enjoyable experience.
Christina gave me lots of constructive feedback which I found very helpful in my efforts to learn the process of writing.’ — Annette E.
'I enjoyed this course immensely. It was very informative and interesting. I have printed out all the lessons and plan to reread them as I continue writing. Having dabbled in writing poetry, I now feel prepared to establish a more consistent writing routine. I have also started to read poetry collections by 'new-to-me' poets. I am grateful for the thoughtful and insightful critique of my first poem. I eagerly anticipate the critique of my second poem. I hope to have the opportunity to learn from Christina again in the future.' — Joanne G.
